Good to Know

I just wanted to stop in and say a GIANT THANK YOU to all of you who posted comments on my last post. I haven’t had a chance to respond to most of them but it means a lot to know that I am not the only one who goes through this (or similar stuff). I appreciate you guys! If I could, I would bake you all some brownies. Bacon brownies. Because THAT, my friends, is LOVE.

    I just read your post about anxiety. I love your blog!!!! I love how you write and I love your sense of humor 🙂

    I have been lucky enough to be able to afford therapy and it has been helping me so much. I find that I don’t have any sane/healthy/trustworthy/non-judgmental role models in my life and my therapist provides that for me. She gives me the right feedback at the right time. Another thing that has helped me immensely is Al-anon. I find that I have a tendency to want to fix everything and to feel responsible for everything. In Al-anon you learn to give up what you can’t control. It’s in the first few steps. Really hard for me, but soooooooooo liberating. It’s what saved me when my sister died.

    • Thank you so much for sharing! I do plan to try and get in touch with a good therapist as soon as it is possible. It has been quite the ride since I started this blog and I haven’t had insurance besides Medicaid but only for pregnancy related things…so…work in progress. Hugs!
